Athens part I

We left for Greece with our mind set to spend our holiday in the hellenic capital, to meet Andreas’s relatives (so many) and eventually run to an island for 2-3 days. We ended up spending our whole week in Athens and it still seemed that we needed a couple more days to do everything we planned.. We were told that we haven’t seen the true beauty of Greece until we went on the islands but for me, Athens is in my top 3 favorite holiday destinations, for the simple fact that we had it all, culture, visiting, fun, shopping, the beach, the food, the vibe!

We flew from Budapest, for about an hour and a half, leaving a beautiful, bloody sunset behind. We landed in Athens at about 11.00 pm and as soon as we got off the plane, the heat, the humidity, the clear smell of sea we’re announcing the start of a great week. The first day was spend half at the beach and half in the city, roaming on the infinite pedestrian streets of Athens…
