C&A Style and Shopping Session with Irina Markovits

I hadn’t even finished my coffee and already my day was proving to be quite a long one. I quickly shoved in my backpack the outfit I was about to wear later that day at the Iulius Mall event – C&A Style & Shopping Session with Irina Markovits – pulled on the comfiest jeans I found in my luggage and headed to the shooting I had planed for that morning. You already know I do styling work and the shooting I was due for turned out to be the perfect way to impel me in crossing the whole city once it ended, to get to the Mall in time. Basically, that morning, we had gathered to shoot a catalogue and the fact that my day continued in a similar stylish spirit, crowned a series of very fulfilling days spent in Timisoara.

Odata ajuns in Romania, in special in Timisoara, i-am devenit clienta fidela si eu si toti membri familiei mele, indragind enorm produsele lor.

Once arrived at the Mall, I headed straight to the space the C&A team prepped for this event, in the backround the rough sound of my heels hitting the floor as I rushed on the hallways and Irina’s voice on the mic getting louder and louder. I can’t really depict the moment I first discovered Irina Markovits, but she definitely is the kind of person you are aware of its existence once you get in touch with the fashion field here in Romania. I always looked up to her and consider her to be a true professional in her job as an image consultant and I followed her work every time I got the chance, so it was a matter of course that I would attend this event and moreover, have a conversation with her. As for the C&A brand, which I’m certain you are familiar with, they got me hooked right from the first time I entered a store back in 2005 in Austria and since their arrival in Romania, especially in Timisoara, I became a loyal customer, along side my whole family who loves the C&A clothing. Already, the Canadian brand was extremely present in the retail area, but once Emanuel Iuhas was named a PR, the brand bloomed from a customer’s view and especially from a fashionista’s point of view, who loves to be in touch with new collections, promos, sales and events. Looks like Emanuel finally brought in Timisoara the kind of event we all crave about, looking at pictures from Cluj or the capital.

Irina told us so much, from trends, to outfit ideas, must have items for SS15, accessorizing solutions, color palette, body structure and cuts, but most importantly she answered to all our questions. After the style conversation, Emanuel invited us to the store, to sip a glass of Prosecco, to do some smart shopping and of course, personally meet Irina. I was also glad to see  Laura (Living in a Shoe) and especially, I was content to be in the presence of such pro fashion, extrovert and filled with experience people. Too bad the people from Timisoara keep being stubborned and sceptic to new, too bad there is no similar initiative here, not even from the Mall, too bad the attendence was so low that merely the first two rows were filled, if they were able to come from hundreds of km away, we should have been able to fill this event with fashionable people. Of course, there is this lack of interes, lack of education and information, but we persist!
